  C.E.W. Bean (1879-1968 )was born in Bathurst, New South Wales. He was an Official War Correspondent for the Australian Commonwealth Divisional Headquarters, 1st Australian Imperial Force, 1914-1919 as well as historian. In 1919 he began 'The Official History of Australia in the War of 1914-1918', published by Angus & Robertson and was instrumental in establishing the Australian War Memorial.

  Cyril Dubois was a Graphic artist and cartoonist who was awarded first prize in 'Special Frontline Sketch’ section of Australia at War exhibition, NGV 1945.
