This collection was previously accessed in the Small Pictures File located in the Mitchell Library Reading Room. The collection was withdrawn for further cataloguing and targeted digitisation as part of the eRecords project in 2013.

Pictorial collection, ca. 1788-ca. 1952, relating mainly to historic sites in New South Wales and Australia. The collection includes original and copied pictures and was compiled ca. 1961-ca. 1998 from the Local History Collection at the Newcastle Public Library and research requests at the Mitchell Library.
