    The Australian Encyclopaedia was first published by Angus & Robertson in two volumes, the first in 1925 and the second in 1926. The second edition of ten volumes, with Alec H. Chisholm as editor, was published in 1958.

    Manuscript, typescript and carbon typescript drafts relating to Australian maps for the Australian Encyclopaedia, no date. Box 458A also contains some correspondence from Joseph H. Maiden, Government Botanist, 1921 relating to photographs by F.J. Davey for Vol. 2 of the Encyclopaedia; correspondence from H.L. White, May 1926, relating to illustrations of birds and eggs for Vol. 2 of the Encyclopaedia; and a page of printed music mounted on cardboard titled 'The Aboriginal "Corrobbery": "Narrinyeri" Corrobbery', and annotated [1861].
