  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

The centenary of the ANZAC landings in 1915 was celebrated in a series of events organised by The Camp Gallipoli Foundation. Tickets were sold to an overnight event where attendees could sleep under the stars, be entertained and attend a Dawn Service on 25th April to commemorate Anzac Day. Events were simultaneously staged in Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. Merchandise was sold at the events to raise money for the Retired Services League and Legacy.

The event in Sydney was to be held in Centennial Park but record rainfall and storms in the days preceding 24th April forced the organisers to initially cancel the event and then subsequently move it to Moore Park Entertainment Quarter.
