    Stewart Griffith Mitchell (1864-1937) of Pymble, and late of Bathurst and Richmond, was a school teacher. He delivered a lecture on Henry Kendall to the Unitarian Literary Society on Tuesday 18 June 1895.

    Collection comprises two hand written letters.

    ITEM 01
    Hand written copy of letter from Henry Kendall to Charlotte Rutter, Enmore Road [1868], copied 1919. Subjects include: not feeling well enough to write more than a few lines; feeling awkward writing love letter; strength and purity of love for 'Lottie'; wish for feeling to be reciprocated; belief that one cannot live without love.

    Letter from Stewart Mitchell to Mr Lobban, 22 June 1919. Subjects include: meeting in King Street, and request for copy of Henry Kendall love letter of which Mitchell held original; unable to locate book of Kendall poetry which letter fastened in; wife finding book among old school books; finding piece written by Mr School Inspector Lobban.
