John Bokor was born in Sydney in 1973. He completed a Diploma in Painting at the National Art School in 1993. His work is represented in the collections of the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Art Gallery of Ballarat, Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery, Macquarie Bank, University of Sydney and other public and private collections.

For two weeks in March 2015, Bokor was Artist in Residence at the State Library of New South Wales as part of the Drawing the Library program.
