  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

Oran Park is a suburban development in south-western Sydney on the site of the former Oran Park Motor Racing
Circuit. Home sites began to be available from 2010 as part of a development plan which includes cycling and pedestrian paths, a supermarket, retail complex, a medical and civic centre, library, police station, schools and government agencies. Development is planned until 2030.

Camden Heights is an estate of approximately 60 houses off Lodges Road in Elderslie which began development in 2013.

Birrawa, Gulgong and Dunedoo are towns located in the central west of New South Wales which have experienced increased rates of population decline. Birriwa is an agricultural town with large grain storage facilities. In 1910 a railway station was built in the town to serve on a railway line which extended from Mudgee, however the station closed in 1974. Gulgong, is famous for its goldfields which operated throughout the 1870s. Since this time the town has established trade with tourism, agricultural products, wine production and coal mining. Dunedoo is a small town with industries in wheat, cattle, mixed farming, timber, fat lambs and wool.

Marulan, located in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, was previously the terminus of a railway from Sydney where passengers would transfer to coach to continue to Melbourne. When the new southern railway line was built and passed through the north of the town, the settlement moved with it. Marulan has traditionally been surrounded by large farming areas of which many have been subdivided into smaller rural areas, forming newer suburbs including Bungonia, Brayton, Big Hill, Greenwich Park, Tallong and Towrang.
