The State Library of NSW commissioned Louise Darmody to record interviews with people of Islamic faith in Sydney and NSW in 2013, fulfilling a collecting focus area for the Library. The interviews aim to collect a full life story of the interviewee, in the process covering particular themes, including practice of faith, values and lifestyle. The interviewees represent a range of communities and language groups, include men and women, and people from a diverse range of professions. This is an ongoing project.
