    Letter to Beatrice Russell dated Sydney, 18 August 1910 from G.N. Russell. On letterhead of G. Norton Russell, Young’s Chambers, 256 Pitt Street, Sydney.
    Letter tells Beatrice why he wrote the diary and that the diary now belongs to Beatrice.

    Manuscript poem signed ‘J.M.’ written to Beatrice Russell, dated on board the Brucklay Castle, off Cape Herin, Sunday May 12th 1872. On page 29 of the diary for May 13th this poem is repeated stating that the poem was written by Mr Mitchell off Cape Horn, South America.
