Elizabeth Ursula Rooney (1929-) painter and etcher was born in Sydney. She studied at the East Sydney Technical College until 1949, where in 1948-49 she studied etching with Herbert Gallop. She helped Joy Ewart to establish etching facilities at the Workshop Art Centre, Willoughby, NSW, and held her first exhibition of etchings there in 1963. By 1976 she had made about 250 prints in various media.
