    Photograph is of group of Aboriginal people sitting on ground in front of canvas tent. Straw boater with attached scarf atop tent. Cans in makeshift storage crate. The foot of the child second from left rests on a book, possibly a bible. Canvas, hessian and/or bark tents in the fenced paddock in background. Postcard format, on Kodak Austral postcard stock.

    Inscribed on front 'Corowa'. Inscribed on reverse 'Corowa, New South Wales, Australia. 1-4-13. Dear Cousin Minnie. This is a type of the Australian Native in this part of N.S.W. Some of them are very intelligent, but they are not at all fond of work, although I have two very pretty doyleys made by a girl in the North of Queensland. Love from Cousin Harriet.' Also inscribed separately on reverse in pencil '$145'.
