    Prominent members of these families include Henry C. Wilson who farmed at Mudgee and elsewhere for many years, his son Robert C. Wilson who served with the Light Horse in World War I and went on to become chief executive of Grazcos Co-operative Ltd and president of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Francis Hales, Archdeacon of Northern Tasmania.
    The most important components of the collection are the diaries and correspondence of Henry C. Wilson and the correspondence of his mother Louisa and his wife Mary Hales; and the papers of Robert C. Wilson which include his World War I diaries supplemented with four glass negatives, together with later diaries and correspondence.
