Wilfred Lehmann (1929- ) is a distinguished and prize-winning composer. His compositions include film music (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), ballet music for the Queensland Ballet Company, works for the Adelaide Violin Competition and the NSW Brass Band Championships. His Bacchanals was chosen to represent Australian compositions at the Paris Rostrum of 1988. He was awarded an OAM in 1994 for services to the performing arts as a violinist, composer and conductor.
