    Includes copy of text of land grant in Ultimo by Governor King, 1 January 1806, paper watermarked 1831; letters from John Armstrong (to John Macarthur and John Harris), Cornelius Lundie, and others; list of portions of Pyrmont Estate sold by order of James Macarthur, December 1839; estimate of uncut stone on Pyrmont Estate; list of original holders at Pyrmont Estate, 1839-1840; returns of rents or interest due on the Pyrmont Estate; group letter from purchasers requesting reduction of rate of interest payable for land purchases; letter from J. K. Chisholm, 1866, to James Macarthur re marriage settlement of Lady Macarthur, wife of Edward, and enclosing extract of deed of settlement as it affects the Pyrmont property; letter from Thomas Smith to James Macarthur re conflicting claims to Pyrmont Bay water frontage, with printed statement of eight proprietors; lithograph plan, "Converging lines for Pyrmont Bay ordered by the Government in 1849, shewing Mr Smith's improvements, on his water frontage"; letter from Thomas Smith to William Macarthur, concerning City Council scheme to realign Edward St, cutting off his frontage, and alleging involvement of John Robertson and William Allison; newscutting: letter to the [Sydney Morning] Herald re purchase of Darling Island, undated.
