The Swiss Historical Society was established in 2007 as an initiative of then Consul General of Switzerland, Juerg Casserini. The aim of the Society is to research and compile information for the publication of a history of the Swiss community in NSW.

The Swiss Club of NSW became a Club in 1924 when the former Swiss Society of NSW changed into the Swiss Club of NSW and succeeded the Society. They are a non-profit organisation and meet and organise functions at various venues, and have links to the other groups/clubs and the Swiss Consulate to support all Swiss activities in NSW.
