Includes panoramic view in ink over Lowe's Swamp, extending from Canobolas to Mount Walker and Evan's Rock, with bearings; two soil maps in pencil. 11 pages of diary entries entitled "Great Road Southward 1829" at the end of the volume, dated Friday 13 November 1829-Tuesday 22 December 1829, describing events from departure from Sydney to return to Liverpool en route to Sydney. Includes a half page of Indigenous names for place and landmarks at the beginning of the volume. Includes observations and sketch of Port Jackson.
