The legal firm Sly & Hamilton was established in 1889. In 1892, the firm changed its name to Sly, Hamilton & Russell. In 1894, it became Sly and Russell. In 1929, it amalgamated with W.G. Forsyth & Co. and in 1959 it incorporated the firm of Weaver & Allworth. In 1989 the firm became Sly and Weigall.
