  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

Architect Peter Reynolds founded the Horbury Hunt Club in 1989, a group interested in the history of architecture, landscape and town planning. The club took their name from architect John Horbury Hunt (1834-1904), who worked primarily in Sydney and New South Wales. Horbury Hunt’s output over some forty years of practice included twenty churches, cathedrals at Armidale, Grafton and Newcastle, forty houses, shops, schools and other buildings such as stables and shearing sheds. His work is distinguished by the use of brick and timber and the inclusion of stained glass in secular buildings.
