Louis? Andersen was Danish. He had settled in Australia by 1893 (perhaps by 1890) with his wife and three young daughters: Louise, the eldest; Johanne, also known as Hanne, a year younger and Ellen approximately another four years younger. He appears to have been away at sea a good deal but his profession is unknown. Hanne married Wilhelm? M. Nielsen in the early 1900s. Photographs include the young family in South Africa. Hanne returned to Australia with her husband between about 1909 and the 1920s. Hanne and Wilhelm's daughter Thelma married Harold in Australia and was photographed at Penrith in May 1949 with their baby Erik.
