In 2011, the Doubly Gifted Committee held its final 'Jazz Art Happening' exhibition and concert at Waverley Library, Bondi Junction, to showcase the double talents of jazz musicians who are also artists. The Official Opening concert took place on Saturday 3 September 2011.

The group 'A Brush with Jazz', led by Bob Baird, played for the Doubly Gifted concerts from 2006 to 2011. Bob Baird played drums and Verdon Morcom played piano for all the concerts but other members of the group varied each year. For the final concert, Col Locklan played tenor sax, Al Davey played trumpet and Ed Gaston played bass. Other musicians who played with the group in previous years include Trevor Rippingale (sax, clarinet), Ron Fulson (trumpet), Darcy Wright (bass), Errol Buddle (tenor/soprano sax, flute), Bob Barnard (cornet), John Conley (bass), Ed Wilson (trombone, vocals) and Craig Scott (bass).
