  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

Outer Liverpool Community Services Inc (OLCS) is a community service funded by the Department of Community Services. It has a long history in community development in Liverpool. The service was first established in 1978 as part of the Neighbourhood Centres Program funded by the N.S.W. Department of Community Services. It has previously been known as the Magic Bus and then the Roaming Rainbow Bus. A consistent focus of the organisation has been to address social isolation resulting from the large distances in the semi rural area in which it operates, namely through delivering a mobile service i.e. a community bus.
