    Photographs show the arrival of machinery when the mine was acquired by Hargraves Goldfields Ltd. In March 1903, Big Nugget Hill was the property of Saddle Reef Syndicate, but about to change hands. An article in The Sydney Morning Herald in August 1905 notes that Hargraves Goldfields Limited has recently purchased Big Nugget Mine and has put through their first trial crushing of 15 tons.
