  • General note

    The Ballina was an iron paddle steamer with two masts, brig rigged. Built by Low Walker-on-Tyne and Co. in Northumberland, England in 1865 for the Clarence and Richmond Steam Navigation Company, it carried passengers between Sydney and northern New South Wales ports from February 1866 until 1879 when it was wrecked during a storm at Port Macquarie.
