    John Kirtley was a printer with an interest in limited editions and fine press books. In 1925 he founded Fanfrolico Press with Jack Lindsay.

    This is a heavily annotated copy with John Kirtley's critical comments on both Jack Lindsay and detailed comments on the people and events described in this autobiography. There are also a number of related items tipped into the book including the original of the Hugh McCrae illustrated letter which is reproduced in the book and a detailed letter from Lionel Lindsay to Jack Lindsay about Norman Lindsay's book Creative Effort.
