Richard Atkins left England on 20 June 1791 and arrived at Sydney on 13 Feb. 1792 on the Pitt. He held positions as Registrar of the Vice-Admiralty Court, Inspector of Public Works, Deputy Judge Advocate and Judge Advocate and Registrar of Imports and Exports. In 1810 he left Sydney and returned to England
  • Scope and Content
Handwritten document recording the sale of Patrick Hines' farm to Richard Atkins, 14 April, 1808, for the sum of fifteen pounds sterling, and the on-sale of said farm to Mr William Lilly, 6 May 1810 for the sum of twelve pounds sterling.
The document records two earlier sales of the farm, including from William Cleary/Clary to Patrick Hines on 10 March 180?. The earliest sale recorded on the document is too faint to decipher, although the date appears to be 20 February 1808.
