Oral histories conducted for the Natural Heritage Trust and NSW Fisheries, by C Copeland, E Schooneveldt-Reid and S Neller. The interviews track ecological change on the Gwydir River through the memories of 33 long term residents from different communities within the catchment area below Copeton Dam. Interviewees were chosen on the basis of their length of residence in the area, their interest in the river, and their reputation as knowledgeable people.
