4. Copy of warrant, dated Sydney, 20 January 1793, appointing Edward Laing Assistant Surgeon to the settlement; certified and signed by David Collins.

5. Certificate, dated Sydney, 13 December 1794, addressed to the Lords Commissioners of H.M. Treasury, as to Edward Laing's service as Assistant Surgeon of the settlement, signed by Francis Grose.

6. Extract of a letter from George Quested, Master of the ship Speedy on a whaling voyage on the east coast of New Holland to Governor King, dated 25 September 1800.

7. Letter, from Surveyor General, Tasmania, dated Survey Office, 9 March 1831, to Thomas Mason, saying his application for land at the township of Cookville has been successful; accompanied by (Mason's?) description of the land desired. In original cover.
