    During his expeditions, Sturt explored the Murrumbidgee and Murray Rivers and discovered the Darling in 1829-1830. Two books on his travels were published: 'Two expeditions into the interior of southern Australia', in 1833, and 'Narrative of an expedition into Central Australia', in 1849.
