  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    William Henry Moore arrived in Sydney on 27 January 1815. On 11 May he was admitted to the courts as the first free solicitor in the colony.

    William Faithful, a soldier and settler arrived in New South Wales as a private in Captain Joseph Foveaux's company in the New South Wales Corps on the ship Pitt in February 1792. He became a prominent settler in the Richmond district.

  • Collection history
    George Weaver donated his papers relating to his position as President of the Crown Street Womens Hospital to the Library. Included in the collection was this document that relates to W. J. Baldock and the firm of Iceton, Faithful & Baldock, whose offices were in South British Building, 28 O'Connell St (cnr Hunter St). When the building was being demolished Mr Weaver retrieved this item. Reference: Library correspondence file
