  • Physical Description
1 volume (69 p.) of textual material, and cartographic material. - manuscript
  • Scope and Content
Unsigned; the writer's name was obtained from a letter addressed to W.T. Jay from the Colonial Office, 15 July 1829, which was found among papers of W.E. Riley, A 2012.
Appears to be a fair copy of an original journal, and frequently refers to the author's friendship with "R.", who may be Riley.
The journal describes many journeys of exploration in the districts surrounding the Swan River settlements, and has a particular focus on the natural history of the region.
The map is titled Chart of the Swan River, and is possibly a lithograph, which has been cut down. It has also been annotated by hand.
