  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

The Ticketwriters Club (1994-2002) provided networking opportunities for showcard and ticket writers as well as developing and promoting the art of brush lettering. When the Club ceased operation, members were encouraged to join The Sign Association of Australia.

Barbara Enright began her career in ticketwriting in the early 1970s as a trainee Ticketwriter with a major department store and went on to learn her craft from leading showcard & ticketwriting experts in Sydney and Melbourne. When Macquarie Shopping Centre opened, Enright set up Sydney's first onsite Showcard & Ticketwriting business initially targeting retailers in Macquarie Centre. She was then asked to do the same for Roselands Shopping Centre. In 1985, the business moved to Silverwater and grew into a busy studio providing creative design for screenprinted signs and posters, vinyl signs, banners, hand written tickets and showcards of all shapes and sizes.
