    Papers relating to the Sydney, Calcutta, Amsterdam and other mints, 1822 and 1860, 2 June 1853-27 January 1855.

    Relates only to Sydney Mint. Some are copies of material in the Royal Mint, Sydney papers, filed in N.S.W. Archives 2/763-5. Contents include copies of correspondence, estimates and tenders for machinery and equipment, account of the wastage on the production of coinage, wages estimate, table for the use of the automation balance for weighing blanks or coins. Memoranda of particulars to be attended to in keeping the books of the coining department, and for coining medals.

    Letters found loose between the pages of Item 1. Correspondences include Captain E.W. Ward, William Buckle and manufacturers of machinery and equipment for the Mint.
