Leon Gellert was born in Adelaide, 17 May 1892. He served in World War I until 1916. He taught, wrote, edited 'Art in Australia', and 'Home', and later joined the literary staff of the Sydney Morning Herald. He has published humorous works and poetry.

Fully bound in brown leather, tooled and lettered in gold. Binder's title 'The Isle of San by Geon Gellert, Manuscript'.
