    John Pascoe Fawkner emigrated to Australia with his parents in 1801. He was in business in Tasmania for many years as baker, builder and hotel keeper. in 1835 he formed a party to settle in Victoria who established themselves on the present site of Melbourne. He was active in business and politics in the new colony for the rest of his life

    Records of books lent and purchased, accounts connected with building house in Melbourne and jottings concerning church history.

    b. Private account book, with brass lock and key, 1 June 1842-15 December 1860.
    Records of farm and household expenditure, financial transactions, land owned and sold in Geelong, Tullamarine etc.

    b. Grant by purchase (3) Melbourne allotment 182 of section 2, 5 March 1838 and Jika Jika parish 5 April 1842.

    c. Settlement by John Pascoe Fawkner in favour of Mrs. Elizabeth Fawkner, 30 March 1842.
