Transportation to Australia was revived by Lord Grey in 1848 and the Hashemy was the first ship to arrive in Sydney with a shipment of convicts. It met with such strong protests that all subsequent ships were diverted to Moreton Bay, Queensland - Scope and ContentRecords weather conditions, daily events, health of crew and convicts etc, from departure from Deptford, England to arrival at Sydney, N.S.W.
