    Records naval service and travels aboard H.M.S. Sybille, H.M.S. Rapid, P & O Packet Norna, P & O steamer Douro, H.M. sloop Fantome and H.M.S. Juno. Includes descriptions of the shipwreck of the Norna May 1854, the running aground of the Fantome May 1855, the march of the crews of the Electra and Fantome to Ballarat, Victoria to assist the troops at the Eureka Stockade 1854, the visit of the Juno to Pitcairn Island and Norfolk Island and his impressions of places visited in Australia and the Pacific.

    Brief lists of crew members and passengers are given for most voyages.
