The relics were bequeathed by Mrs Cook to her servant Charles Dowell, Surrey. They passed to Ann Maria Sanford Arbery (great niece of his wife Sarah Doswell), (see DLMSF 1n) and later into the possession of Dr T. W. Shortridge of Honiton, Devon, from whom Dixon is supposed to have purchased them.
