- ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORYRev. S.W. Baker, 1836-1903, Rev. G. Brown, 1835-1917, Rev. L. Fison, 1832-1907 and Rev. F. Langham, 1833-1903 served as Wesleyan missionaries during the late 19th century. Rev. S.W. Baker engaded in political activities in Tonga, culminating in his appointment as Premier after leaving the mission as District Chairman. Rev. G. Brown was stationed in Samoa, New Britain, Tonga, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands and was General Secretary of Missions from 1887-1908. Rev. L. Fison worked in Fiji and was a noted anthropologist. Rev. F. Langham was District Chairman in Fiji for part of the time he was there.
