    Contemporary description of Tasmania, including its physical features, natural history, timber minerals and aborigines. A separate chapter devoted to Hobart and its surrounds gives an account of its most notable buildings, its wharfs and the Derwent, newspapers and legal system, churches, the Bank of Van Diemen's Land, particularly mentions educational establishments. Watermark date 1823.
