  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Francis Edgar Williams, 1893-1943, was Assistant Anthropologist, Papua, and in 1928 became Government Anthropologist, a position he held until the outbreak of war in the Pacific. During this period much of his research into native life in Papua and New Guinea was published in governmental reports and journal articles
