Arthur Orton, 1834-1898, migrated to Tasmania in 1852, and settled in Wagga, N.S.W., in the 1860's. In 1865 he falsely claimed to be Roger Charles Tichborne, heir to a Hampshire estate, and traveled to England under this identity.
