    Donor Miss Elizabeth Nicholls, his granddaughter stated that some of the poems if not all appeared to have been written by him.

    The Melbourne Advertiser in 1839 was renamed Port Phillip Patriot and Melbourne Advertiser, in October 1845 became Port Phillip Patriot and Morning Advertiser
