Robert Henderson, 1798-1869, left his estate to be divided equally among his children and grandchildren. He named as his executors William Speer and Henry Clarke. A dispute arose concerning the rights of the many children, legitimate and illegitimate, of his son Robert Geary Henderson. The settlement of the McMahon estate, of which Robert Henderson was trustee, gave rise to another dispute involving William Perkins. This collection also contains other papers relating to the Henderson family, and especially to Robert Francis Geary Henderson, eldest son of Robert Geary Henderson
