    Writer who was in the Commissariat at Port Arthur attended every important function in Hobart. He held a commission from March 1837 to inspect every vessel entering the harbour and records all shipping movements. He attended all inquests and gives circumstances and verdicts in each case. He was a keen amateur artist and lists all his subjects
