    257. Mugincoble, Orange to Broken Hill Line, 20/01/2004
Located on rail line a few kilometres east of Parkes. This is the site of the original bulkhead, a huge timber framed structure clad in galvanised steel. Only the concrete tower remains. It was replaced with the present circular steel bins as a major sub-terminal and Graincorp Service Centre.

    258. Cumnock, Molong to Dubbo Line, 09/03/2009
Located on abandoned rail line on rise above small town. Old station is nearby and fenced off. The original concrete silo, type S024 (capacity 2,400 tonnes) was built in 1928 and extended in 1934. The D150 bulkhead (capacity 15,000 tonnes) was constructed in 1967.

    259. Yeoval, Molong to Dubbo Line, 09/03/2009
Located on edge of town, on abandoned rail line. Original concrete silo is a type S024 (capacity 2,400 tonnes) built in 1928. Extensions in 1934 and 1961 added another 6,800 tonnes of capacity. The capacity and construction date of the large bulkhead downline in unknown.

    260. Kingsvale, Demondrille to Cowra Line, 14/09/2009
Located in small village. Capacity and construction date of small bulkhead unknown.

    261. Boorowa central, Galong to Boorowa Line, 14/09/2009
Located in centre of town. Rail lines have been taken up. Original concrete silo type S008 (capacity 800 tonnes) was built in 1929. The adjacent bulkhead was probably added in the 1960’s.

    262. Mangoplah, Off-line, 25/10/2009
One of a very few off-line facilities. Located outside small village the silo is now part of a private grain business (Mangoplah Farm Centre). The type S016 silo (capacity 1,600 tonnes) was built in 1928.

    263. Rennie, The Rock to Rennie Line, 26/10/2009
Small village, single street with hotel, Memorial Hall and a few scattered houses. Rail line has been recently maintained. Flat steel circular silos (construction date and capacity unknown). Also small bulkhead downline.

    264. Tocumwal, Narrandera to Tocumwal Line, 26/10/2009
Large silo complex on edge of town situated on Murray River. Facility includes a ‘A’ type circular silo (A299 – 29,900 tonnes capacity) built in 1967. Tall silo is probably earlier. Later additions are corrugated steel bins and extensive bunker (i.e. on-ground) storage.

    265. Finley, Narrandera to Tocumwal Line, 26/10/2009
On abandoned line on the edge of town. Original concrete silo, type S068 (capacity 6,800 tonnes) built in 1922. 52 of these “Metcalf” silos were built between 1918-1929 (from American designer J.S. Metcalf). A steel bulkhead has been added at a later date. A smaller bulkhead has been removed.

    266. Berrigan, Narrandera to Tocumwal Line, 26/10/2009
Located in small town (a number of public buildings in reasonable condition), on abandoned line. Original concrete silo, type S068 (capacity 6,800 tonnes) built in 1922. The large bulkhead probably added in 1960’s. Little sign of recent use.

    267. Jerilderie, Narrandera to Tocumwal Line, 26/10/2009
Located on the edge of town, on abandoned line. A D150 bulkhead (capacity 15,000 tonnes) built in 1965. A Graincorp facility that appears to have been idle for years. Some of the lighter structures have been vandalised.

    268. Coleambally, Off-line, 26/10/2009
One of a very few off-line storage facilities. Located in an industrial area on outskirts of town. A large steel bulkhead (labelled DE6 – capacity and construction date unknown). Used recently.

In a small village of a few houses and a church, on abandoned rail line. Original concrete silo, type S027 (2,700 tonnes capacity) built in 1936. 26 of these silos were constructed between 1934 and 1936, known as the “new 90” (i.e. 90,000 bushels) to distinguish them from the S024 (also 90,000 bushels).

    271. Kikoira, Ungarie to Naradhan Line, 27/10/2009
Located in very rundown village with a few shopfronts and the original hotel, falling apart. A large silo complex on a recently maintained line. The type S016 silo (1,600 tonnes capacity) was built in 1934. Extra bins (5,700 tonnes) were added in 1962. The D150 bulkhead (15,000 tonnes) was built in 1969.

    272. Culgoora, Narrabri to Walgett Line, 13/03/2010
Locality only. A type D150 bulkhead (15,000 tonnes capacity) was built in 1966. On well-used rail line with new sleepers on siding. Truck marks indicate recent use. 72 of these D150 depots were built between 1965 and 1970 – the most common type of storage (apart from the later bunker storage).

    273. Narrabri South, Narrabri to Walgett Line, 13/03/2010
Located on edge of town, on operational rail line. An A191 type circular bulkhead (capacity 19,100 tonnes) was built in 1955. A larger C350 bulkhead (35,000 T.) was added in 1968. The capacity and construction date of the tall concrete silo is unknown.

    274. Gilgandra central, Dubbo to Coonamble Line, 14/03/2010
Located in town. No sign of railway station although there is rundown stationmaster’s cottage (vacant). The original type S068 silo (6,800 tonne capacity) was built in 1920, one of the earliest. Extra bins were added in 1927 and 1950.
