    Her Majesty's Colonial Steam Sloop Victoria of 580 tons arrived in Melbourne, Victoria on 31 May 1856 under the command of Captain W. Norman and carried out routine naval work as well as serving in New Zealand during the Maori War of 1860. Norman's third son, Charles Ernest Norman. was a former Victorian Commissioner of Railways
