This volume was acquired by the library as a volume of newscuttings and was catalogued as Newspaper Cuttings, Vol. 177. The cuttings were floated off, 1955, and placed in the Cuttings file.

The diary is that of a residence in England and the last page makes reference to an impending voyage but ends in the middle of the sentence. Some pages also appear to be missing after pages 19 and 103
