    John Thomas Leahy of the 21st Fusiliers, came to Australia in 1833 and served in New South Wales and Van Diemen's Land. He sold his commission ca. 1835 and died in Sydney on 28 June 1839, aged 58

Manning, Registrar of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and by Robert and Charles Campbell, who were the Leahys' agents in New South Wales. J. T. Leahy's real estate in New South Wales included the Mount Kiera and Bellambi Estates, Illawarra District and the Crookhaven or Shoalhaven Estate, Shoalhaven District
