    29. Dr Helen Wallis, Keeper of the Maps, Library of London, interviewed by Eric Waite at Terra Australis Conference in Sydney, August 1988. Wallis was in Australia to give a paper ‘Java La Grande : the enigma of the Dieppe Maps’, and talk to Waite about theory that Australia was discovered by the Portuguese in the early 16th century before the Dutch, 16th Century Chinese maps and the British Library’s Chinese Terrestrial Globe
