  • Scope and Content
    The report traces Lanyon's history from 1835 when various portions of it were purchased by John Hamilton Mortimer Lanyon and James Wright to 1971 when the remaining land was resumed by the Commonwealth Government. From 1849-1926 the property was in the hands of the Cunningham family, specifically Andrew Cunningham for the period to 1887. In 1930 it was sold to T. A. Field who held the property for over 40 years. The report only covers in detail the period to 1930
